Frequently asked questions.
Do you take same day appointments?
Yes! Please call (972)691-6652 for availability.
What time should I arrive with my dog?
Please bring your dog at your convenience, between 7AM-10AM on the morning of your appointment. Our stylists tend to the dogs in order of arrival time, and will call when your dog is ready to go home.
How long will my dog’s spa day take?
Most small dogs (2-40lbs) are typically here for 2-3 hours, and larger dogs (41lbs+) are about 3-4 hours. We like to take our time with each pup to ensure their visit at our salon is stress free and enjoyable! All dogs are provided fresh water and potty breaks throughout the day.
What vaccines do you require?
We require that all dogs to be up to date on their rabies vaccine. Also recommended are the distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis, and bordetella vaccines, as your dog will be in the proximity of others while they are with us for their spa day.
Do you use kennel dryers?
Yes. We hand blow dry dogs 80-90% of the way through and then they are placed in a safe kennel with a blanket with room temperature air to dry them the rest of the way. We feel it's best that the dogs get breaks in between the bathing and grooming process to let them have a rest.
Do you offer kennel free grooming?
Yes! We offer a “Zoom Groom”, for which you will be given a set appointment time to drop off your dog. Zoom Grooms are given extra time on the stylist’s schedule so they are working solely on your dog and they will not go in a kennel. You will receive a phone call when they’re almost done so you can pick them up as soon as they’re ready. The “Zoom Groom” fee is $20 in addition to the cost of the grooming service.
Should I shave my dog to help shedding?
No!! Dogs that have double coats such as Golden Retrievers, Huskies and Labradors need their extra coat for insulation. Not only from the cold but from the heat as well. If shaved the coat will likely not grow back the same and may cause your pup discomfort with anything other than mild weather.
Per policy we do not shave double coated dogs unless your dog has health issues, severe matting/impaction, or your vet recommends it.
Do you do flea and tick baths?
We do not. The products we use are all natural and we use no chemicals, so we cannot kill fleas/ticks in the salon. We do recommend flea/tick prevention such as Frontline Plus year round here in Texas, to prevent your pet from getting fleas or ticks.
If we find fleas or ticks on your pet, for the safety of the other animals in our salon we will send him/her home and recommend doing a Frontline flea/tick treatment. Then once the treatment has killed all remaining flea or tick(48 hours) we can take your pet back and finish his/her groom.
